Senior Dental Care

ทันตกรรมผู้สูงอายุ

Older adults often live with chronic conditions, several medications and some loss of independence, which makes oral problems more complex and directly affects eating and quality of life. We plan treatment around overall health and welcome family members and carers into the conversation.

Common problems

  • Decay at the gumline and on exposed roots as gums recede
  • Gum disease leading to loose teeth
  • Dry mouth from medication or illness, which speeds up decay
  • Loose or painful dentures and sore spots
  • Several missing teeth making it hard to chew

What we provide

  • Examination and treatment planning that takes medical history and medications into account
  • Cleaning, root planing, fillings and extractions
  • Removable dentures and adjustments to existing ones
  • Crowns, and implants where suitable
  • Oral hygiene and denture-care coaching for carers

Before your visit

  • Bring a list of regular medicines, or photos of the packets
  • Let us know about medical conditions, allergies and past surgery
  • Bring any dentures you use
  • Carers are welcome in the treatment room to hear the advice first-hand

Common questions

Can people with chronic conditions have dental treatment?

In nearly every case, yes. We review your conditions and medicines, and sometimes coordinate with your doctor first, for example before an extraction if you take blood thinners.

My dentures are loose. Do I need new ones?

Not always. Many can be relined or adjusted. We’ll check whether repair or a new set makes more sense.
